Michael has over 14 years of experience in professional practice, having commenced his career in Adelaide in 1998 where he qualified as a CPA in 2001. Since then he has worked in a number of roles in practice and industry, both in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Relocating to Melbourne in 2003 after two years in London, Michael spent nine years with a large accounting firm  where he worked for a range of clients across a diverse breadth of industries, including property and construction, retail, hospitality, not-for-profit and the arts.

Most recently, Michael worked for a number of years in a key management and advisory role within the service industry. This experience provided a keen insight to the day-to-day pressures of running a diverse and successful business group.

Michael’s broad experience enables him to combine technical expertise in accounting, taxation and business processes with a commercial outlook and an understanding of key business drivers.

Michael has a particular interest in the creative arts, and currently serves in a voluntary capacity as a board member and treasurer for Schoolhouse Studios Inc.

In his downtime, Michael is busy with three young daughters and does his best to keep up-to-date with Melbourne's vibrant music scene.
