Paul Carrazzo brings over 25 years of experience in taxation and business consulting. Paul has advised a diverse range of clients—from high-net-worth family groups and professionals to businesses—on complex taxation, accounting and business matters.
Paul is a recognised authority in primary production taxation for the equine, farming and winery industries. He is an accredited Self-Managed Superannuation specialist with the Superannuation Advisors Network (SAN) and has extensive expertise in cryptocurrency taxation, complex income tax planning and small business capital gains tax strategies.
Throughout his career, Paul has been a guest presenter at various industry forums on business planning. He has contributed his expertise as a feature tax writer for publications such as Australian Franchising, Australian Doctor and The Australian Pharmacist. As CPA Australia's property taxation and financial planning representative, he participated in the ANZ-sponsored "Buying a Home" public seminars and the annual NSW Congress.
Paul has held leadership roles including Director and Treasurer of the Bendigo Community Bank in Dunkeld. For over two decades, he has authored "The Tax File" column for Bluebloods (formerly Australian Bloodhorse Review), Australia's leading breeding magazine. His insights have been featured in industry publications like NSWROA, TROA, TBNSW, Racing NSW Magazine, Stallions Weekly Bulletin, Stallions.com, ANZ Bloodstock News, Breednet, and Magic Millions.
Paul has contributed to the equine industry through his expertise in horse industry taxation. In 2011, he made history as the first CPA or Chartered Accountant to speak on the horse industry at the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Accountants (CAPA) conference. He participated in the Victorian Government's Middle East equine industry trade mission in 2015. As the resident tax specialist on Sky Racing's "Bred To Win" and formerly on TVN's "Connections," Paul has shared his insights widely. He continues to deliver seminars and webinars at key sales venues nationwide, including annual events at Magic Millions and William Inglis & Son. Additionally, he is a regular commentator for the Australian Financial Review on horse industry taxation matters.
Paul has also significantly contributed to shaping industry standards. He is often engaged to consult with other accountants and finance professionals on tax matters and is a sought-after speaker for CPA Australia's "Sport of Kings" lunches. Paul has presented to organisations such as Racing Victoria's Finance division, Racing and Wagering WA (RWWA), various breeders' associations, and the Tasmanian and Canberra Racing Clubs.
In his downtime, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and engaging with the equine community.
