Sam is an SMSF Specialist Advisor with more than 13 years’ experience working with self-managed superannuation funds. Practical, commercially minded and client-focused, Sam helps trustees navigate complex SMSF obligations with clarity and confidence. Since joining Baumgartners in 2020, Sam has led the firm’s SMSF Division, strengthening its specialist capability and supporting junior accountants through mentoring, technical training and practical guidance.

Sam provides clear, practical advice across SMSF compliance, fund administration, contribution strategies, pension requirements, SIS regulations, and related superannuation and taxation matters. Sam’s proactive approach helps trustees understand their obligations, identify planning opportunities and maintain confidence in both the administration and strategic direction of their funds.

Sam is committed to staying current with the evolving superannuation and taxation landscape, ensuring advice remains practical, compliant and aligned with legislative and regulatory requirements. Active engagement with the SMSF Association keeps Sam connected to industry developments, technical updates and best-practice guidance.

Outside work Sam enjoys spending time with family, travelling to new places and sharing new experiences. A muscle car enthusiast, Sam also enjoys collecting diecast cars.
