Aaron Fitchett

Aaron is the Managing Partner of Baumgartners. Aaron has broad experience across a wide range of tax and business disciplines.  With over 25 years in practice and industry, Aaron has advised numerous businesses, high net-worth family groups, and professionals on taxation, accounting, succession, and business matters. He is a past Chair of The Tax Institute’s Victorian State Council, a Chartered Tax Advisor, a registered tax agent, and holds a Master of Taxation from the University of New South Wales.

Aaron has worked with all levels of business from large corporate groups and multi-nationals to family owned and operated businesses. He has helped to improve the taxation and wealth creation and preservation outcomes for numerous clients including representing client groups during ATO audits and reviews, successfully applying to the ATO for private binding rulings on a range of contentious issues and assisting clients through major life events such as business sales, deceased estates, retirements, and separations.  Aaron is often engaged to consult to the clients of other accountants and finance professionals on tax matters.

Aaron has spent some time in London where he was appointed Head of Business Services for a Top 50 UK Chartered Accounting firm.  In this role Aaron managed a team of professionals, working primarily with start-ups and growing entrepreneurial businesses to meet their compliance obligations and improve their internal management reporting, systems and processes.

In his downtime, Aaron spends time with his two young girls, Emily and Sophia, and his Wife, Victoria, exploring the wonderful family offerings around Melbourne and greater Victoria, especially Daylesford.
