Press Release: Baumgartner Group Welcomes New Head of Audit

The Baumgartner Group is pleased to announce the appointment of James Ridley as Head of Baumgartner Audit.

James, who joined the firm on 9 May 2023, brings over 25 years of experience in audit, consulting and transaction services. Throughout his career, James has specialised in providing external audit services to owner operated businesses, partnerships, large proprietary and foreign owned companies and small cap ASX listed companies. 

James has experience auditing in a range of industries including manufacturing, retail, logistics, mining, financial services and state and federal government spanning the APAC region and throughout the UK and the US. James has developed a suite of expertise that sits under the wider umbrella of ‘litigation support’ including forensic accounting, fraud investigations and business valuations for owners preparing their business for sale or listing, in addition to providing an accurate value for family estates and separations.

In his new role, James will add depth to the Baumgartner Group across key areas of the business and will be instrumental in executing the firm's commitment in Melbourne.

James started his career at a Big Four firm in the UK and emigrated to Australia in 2000. At the Baumgartner Group he provides an effective and efficient audit approach that meets our clients’ expectations and needs, with minimal disruption to their daily operations.
