The ATO’s Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) closes on 30 June 2026. This article outlines what that means for employers and the practical steps to choose a replacement clearing house and prepare payroll processes for PayDay Super.
With PayDay Super fast approaching, it is important to ensure your payroll systems and superannuation clearing arrangements are ready well in advance.
There are a number of superannuation clearing house options available. Some are integrated within payroll software, while others are standalone platforms provided by super funds or financial institutions. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) maintains a register of SuperStream certified providers, which can be accessed here:

However, one commonly used service will no longer be available after 30 June 2026. The ATO Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) is being discontinued.
If you are currently using the SBSCH, you will need to transition to an alternative clearing house before this date.
