Baumgartners was pleased to be represented by David Teleki and Julie Tse at the inaugural 2026 APAC Academy Conference for the Asia Pacific region, hosted by Alliott Global Alliance (AGA) in Bali. The event brought together 16 delegates from member firms across Australia and Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Over one and a half days, delegates took part in sessions designed to build leadership capability, encourage collaboration and explore how professional services are evolving across the region. Topics included:

  • Team building and collaboration
  • An introduction to the DISC behavioural science model
  • How the profession is evolving across the region
  • The Full Range Leadership Model
  • Vertical and horizontal thinking
  • Neuroplasticity and adaptive leadership
  • Wonderlic Develop, with a focus on understanding individual leadership strengths and development areas
  • A panel discussion featuring senior leaders from across the alliance, who shared insights from their leadership journeys

A highlight of the program was the opportunity for participants to explore their own leadership qualities through pre-conference assessments and guided discussion. The models introduced encouraged self-reflection and provided practical insights into different leadership styles. Delegates also examined societal values across the Asia Pacific region and considered how these values influence professional relationships, communication and leadership approaches.

Beyond the formal sessions, David and Julie had the opportunity to connect with senior AGA members in a more informal setting. Networking activities included a hands-on cooking class and a group dinner at the resort, providing further opportunities to share perspectives and strengthen relationships across the alliance.

The APAC Academy delegates also enjoyed a harbour dinner cruise featuring traditional Balinese dancing and fire twirling. The conference concluded with a yoga class overlooking the resort’s grounds, rounding out a memorable and engaging program.
